Proof Tester

The proof tester is a self-contained unit used for both optical fiber proof testing and rewinding. The highly efficient system is designed to permit easy stringup with minimum bending stress outside the process test area, with uniform tension and accurate takeup winding. All testing conforms to EIA/TIA standard. The compact design features a shaftless traversing payoff, precision driven capstan and dancer, test area, traversing takeup and a touchscreen operator interface terminal. The robust internal mechanical structure is essential for high speed operation and has been designed to completely separate the electronic and mechanical components. The proof tester is designed to minimize floor space and set up time. All operator functions are controlled utilizing the PLC. The displays and touchscreen panel are mounted in a pendent arm for maximum visibility and operator convenience.
