strive to supply the optical fiber and cable industries with efficient
systems and timely service at reasonable prices. Every one of our customers

We encourage our customers' input and do our best to interpret their
requirements and incorporate them into our system designs.
Company Background
Royle Systems Group designs, manufactures, and integrates complete systems
for the optical fiber and cable industries. The company was founded as an
engineering and manufacturing concern in Paterson, NJ in 1855. After 146
years of continuous operation, the company is still private and closely
held by the management group. The company headquarters are located in the
suburbs of Pompton Lakes, NJ where the products are fabricated in a
state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Royle continues to be an OEM
world-leader in the systems integration and supply of quality equipment for
a wide range of extrusion, wire & cable, and fiber optic applications.
Royle provides its customers with manufacturing solutions through the
supply of innovative processing systems, and it combines decades of quality
manufacturing experience with a diverse and high level of technical
expertise. The company prides itself on its breadth of technical experience
and know-how. In each of the company core product sectors, the strategy is
to employ industry recognized specialists in the areas of product design
and product application so that latest generation products can be developed
in-house on a continuing basis. This strategy has enabled Royle to quickly
diversify into new product lines and to develop new products that
incorporate unique design and operating features.
RSG has a fully owned subsidiary, Royle Extrusion Systems, Ltd., in
Pune, India, which has a leading position in the supply to the industry in
India. The company also owns a minority interest in Middle East Fiber
Cables, Saudi Arabia, a leading manufacturer of fiber cables in the Arabian
Gulf area.
RSG's particular expertise is in the development and supply of equipment
and processes to manufacture all types of telephone and power cables to
fulfill the demand in countries that are building and expanding their
infrastructure. The primary marketing emphasis is in Asia from the Eastern
Mediterranean to the Far Eastern Pacific. The countries that have the
greatest demand are those that are most densely populated, such as China
and India, but many other countries have also proven to be active markets
for RSG. Currently the company has active projects in China, Saudi Arabia,
Turkey and Korea.
RSG has a close association with Optex, a technology company totally
independent of RSG, but owned by several of the owners of RSG. This company
has developed a technology for the manufacture of fiber optic preforms that
are used to make the fibers which provide most of the high-speed
communications that are in such high demand worldwide. RSG has designed a
series of equipment that will be used with the Optex technology. The two
companies are cooperating in the marketing of turnkey projects for the
manufacture of preforms and fibers. A pilot plant has been constructed at
RSG's premises to demonstrate the equipment and the process.
RSG has a stable and profitable spare part and upgrade business that
comes from the very large installed base of equipment supplied by our
predecessor over their long history.
